A Tale of Two Rings Part 1:
 
The Gift of Atonement
 

This is a journal entry that shares my feelings concerning a pair of rings.  The rings became symbols for different lessons learned in my life.  Each ring was for a time in my life a source of pride.  And each ring, contrastingly, was for a time underappreciated.

It is a story of personal failure, of unattainable forgiveness and self-centeredness.  It is also a story of fathers’ lessons, of sacrifice, and of transformation.  But primarily it is a story of ultimate triumph orchestrated by a Father’s love.  It has an eternally joyful, hopeful ending!

This story is told in two parts.  This is the first part, “A Gift of Atonement”.  The second part is titled “The Gift of Failure”.
