Celebrating Inner Peace:

One of the main aspects of the fellowship offering was the inward peace associated with a restored relationship. The fellowship offering celebrated the fact that the broken relationship between Heavenly Father and sinful Israel had been healed. It reminded the Israelites that the cause of the broken relationship, sin, had been removed by transferring it to the animal. They celebrated this inner peace and expressed the communion and fellowship they had with God in terms of a shared meal. Through the atonement God had provided, there was no longer any barrier between them and God.
